Purpose and Objectives

This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, including the following:

to establish training programs for aspiring smiths;

to desseminate information about sources of material and equipment;

to expose the art of blacksmithing to the public:

to serve as a center of tnformation about blacksmithing for architects, interior designers, and the general public.

It is strictly limited to purposes whtch qualify as exempt organizations under the section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or the corresponding section of any future tax code.

Membership meettngs shall be at least four (4) times a year. The meetings are in the form of a one-day hammer-in. The meetings move around as they are hosted by various members. Demonstrations may be given by a member, or by a full time smith who is well established as an artist-smith. The editor of the newsletter strives to have bi-monthly letters. This keeps us posted as to meeting dates, and places, complete with maps. Articles, drawings and tnformation are part of the very tnformative paper that comes wtth payment of your dues
