St. Helen's was founded in 1949, and the church built on land that had been an orchard. It presently has 1200 families. Since the beginning, it has dedicated itself to, and has gained broad recognition for helping people in need through a wide variety of formal and informal programs.
The Reverend Father Jay McPhillips is the Pastor. The pastoral staff, which ministers to the parish community, consists of both religious and laity, active and semi-retired, male as well as female members.
