GOVERNMENT
Trustee meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall. All board minutes are available at http://www.geaugalink.com/huntsburg.
All township meetings are opened to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
Contact us at 636-5486 for more information. Our next meeting will be February 2, 2010.
ZONING
The Zoning Inspector wishes to remind all residents to obtain a Zoning Permit prior to making any construction changes of any kind. He may be reached by calling the office at 440-636-5486 X3 and leaving a message, he will return your call.
ROADS
Now that the winter weather has arrived we wish to remind you not to plow the snow from drives into and across the roads. Please DO NOT PLOW SNOW INTO THE DITCH ACROSS FROM YOUR DRIVE! Placing the extra snow in the ditches will stop the natural drainage of water as the snow melts and can even plug runoff pipes from neighboring properties, resulting in flooding over the roadways. Remember to instruct your plow drivers to keep your snow on your property.
HUNTSBURG BAPTIST CHURCH
The Huntsburg Baptist Church extends an invitation to all on February 7 to hear Joe & Esther Keim from Savanna, Ohio. The Keims are with the The Mission to Amish People and they will share their ministry during Sunday School starting at 9:45 a.m. and also during the Morning Worship starting at 10:40 a.m.
HUNTSBURG CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
This is a challenging time for some of our neighbors. The Huntsburg Congregational Church food cupboard is active and available to the community. If you or anyone you know are in need of assistance, please contact Dr. Bob Barber at 636-5504 or 286-5019. If you are able to help with non-perishable food and paper product donations, they can be dropped off at the church at any time.
RECYCLE
All those catalogs you get in the mail…(plus phone books, newspapers, school and office papers, magazines, paper back books, junk mail.) Just bring them to the recycle bin at Huntsburg Recreation Park.
Did you know that we are working hard to be environmentally friendly and that our recycle bin is there for the whole community to use?
We even earn money for the paper we collect. This is a way you can support us without having to reach into your pocket!
Thanks so much for recycling with us. We hope you will make it your New Year’s Resolution to be diligent about recycling throughout the year.
Please do not leave unwanted items that are not recyclable at the park-recycling site. Lately we have found items that are not acceptable. DO NOT LEAVE CARDBOARD. We are not a cardboard recycling facility. Please read the posted sign for items that are accepted. If we continue to find unacceptable items we will risk losing our grant.
HUNTSBURG GRANGE:
