Modem Settings:
- Baud rate = 9600 or lower
- Date bits - 8
- Stop bits = 1
- Parity = none
Directions:
1. Select a number that does
not incur a long distance charge for you (see individual library categories
for numbers). Use your modem to call the dial-in number
2. When you see CONNECT
followed by the Baud rate, wait three seconds then press <return>
twice.
3. When CONNECT again
appears on the screen, type (in lower case): library and press <return>
Patrons dialing into the Chardon Library
should skip step number 3
4. At login, type (in lower
case): public then press <return>
5. Follow the directions that
appear on the screen
6. When finished, logoff by
returning to the main Dial-In Access menu. Select logoff and press <return>.
Be sure to disconnect your modem from the Open Library.
This system may be unavailable for brief periods for system
maintenance, usually on a Saturday evening.
