Financial HelpThe Ohio State University Extension is offering a MONEY 2000+ educational program beginning Thursday, Oct. 1.
Participants receive worksheets, financial management information and a monthly news letter. The program continues on a quarterly basis through the year 2000. The program is for people who want to improve their financial well-being through reducing household debt and/or increasing savings.

In addition to the regularly scheduled programs presented for the general public, programs can be presented at any Geauga County location for an audience of at least 10 people. All classes are free of charge except for the Maple Syrup-tasting class which has a $2.00 per person fee. Programs offered are as follows:

- Selecting Ohio Maple Syrup
- Living on a Low Fat Diet
- Making Every Minute Count
- Helping When an Elder's Health Fails
- Financial Skills for Independent Living
- Dressing for the Job
Healthful Heart EatingHealthful Heart Eating is a new series of letter lessons based on the American Heart Association's Culinary Hearts Kitchen Course. The series was developed by OSU Extension, Franklin County and is divided into nine lessons, each a self-contained short course, that includes directions for healthful heart preparation and ingredient substitutions, learning activities and recipes. The cost is $5.00 and is available from the Extension Office.
