GEAUGA COUNTY PARKS

All the parks in Geauga County with the exception of Punderson State Park and Chardon District Park are under the jurisdiction of the Geauga Park District.

The mission of Geauga Park District is to preserve, conserve, and protect the natural features of Geauga County and to provide the opportunity for people to enjoy and appreciate those resources.

Geauga Park District is an outstanding county park system that was established in 1961. The Park District has a longstanding reputation for providing exceptional park programs and facilities. There are currently 12 parks open to the public throughout the county that feature a variety of amenities, beautiful natural resources, and miles of trails for individuals to enjoy hiking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, picnicking, and other outdoor activities. There are two nature education centers, open 10-5 daily, featuring nature art displays and hands-on natural history exhibits. Each week public programs for all ages are held throughout the district.
