The Geauga County Airport, located at 15935 Old State Road (State Rt. 608), Middlefield, was purchased by the county commissioners for $890,000 in May 1996. The airport authority was created by the commissioners in 1992 to relieve them of the burden of day-to-day management.It has a seven-member board of trustees headed by President John Rowland.
