The commission is located in the offices of Myron D. Wheatley, at 151 Main Street, and is open for business mornings only until 11:30 a.m. daily.

To renew a notary commission, a copy of the existing commission bearing the signature of the Governor must be presented at this office. Upon completion of the renewal document, it must be carried cross the street to the main courthouse for signature by one of the three judges.The document must then be sent to the State of Ohio. If a notary's commission expires during this time, he or she may not notarize anything until the renewed commission has been returned by the State, and filed on the second floor of the courthouse.
