PUBLIC HEARING
March 14, 2005
The public hearing for ZC2004-06 was re-opened at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman John A. Eberly. Zoning Resolution Amendment ZC2004-06 was initiated by the Zoning Commission on December 15, 2004. The amendment is known as the oil and gas wells and misc. amendment. The Geauga County Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the amendment on January 11, 2005.
Mr. Eberly read the changed passages. Generally, the changes strike oil and gas references which, due to legislative changes, are no longer in the control of the township. Riparian was added back to the Table of Contents. Riparian was missing when the Zoning Commission gave the trustees this amendment initially because this amendment had been initiated before riparian was added. Another change is in agricultural purposes. An Ohio Revised Code definition is added for ease of interpretation of anyone reading the Resolution. Also, Farm Markets was removed from Article 1 and put in Article 5.
Motion by Gene McCune, Jr. seconded by Gene McCune to close the hearing of ZC2004-06. VOTE: McCune, yes; Cavanagh, yes; Eberly, yes. The motion passed.
