Chairman Seliskar called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Trustees Adams, Kothera and Seliskar, Fiscal Officer Saunders and Zoning Inspector Erik Mirossay. Also present were Michelle May and Owen Gingerich.

 

The proper papers were notified.

 

The minutes of the February 20, 2007 meeting were reviewed and the following action taken.

Trustee Seliskar to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2007

meeting as presented.

FINANCIAL REPORT:

 

Fiscal Officer Saunders presented bills, vouchers, purchase orders and warrants for board approval.

Fiscal Officer Saunders presented financial statements reflecting balances for February 28 and March 6, 2007.  Also presented were bank balances for January 31, 2007 & February 28, 2007 and all corresponding financial reports. 

                             

ZONING REPORT:

Zoning Inspector Erik Mirossay reported on the activities of the Zoning Office for the past two weeks.  Many calls were received and answered.  Letters are being sent out to local businesses in residential areas that have not applied for a Conditional Use Permit for a Home Occupation.

 

Owen Gingerich was present to obtain a zoning permit for the construction of a new home.

Geauga County Planning Commission sent two emails concerning HB69 & SB83.  A copy of each was presented for review.

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT:

 

Roads:

Maintenance crews have been completing standard maintenance for this time of year.  Roads have been plowed and graveled as needed, flood control has been maintained as well.  Several tons of gravel have been spread.  Building maintenance continues as well as vehicle maintenance. 

 

GYM:   

The HuntsburgGrange will hold a Chile Cook-off and Chinese Auction March 17 11:00 – 3:00.

 

TOWN HALL: 

 

John Burger of Basic Alarming Monitoring will attend the March 20 meeting to inform the Board of Trustees of changes needed to the alarm system.

 

A Thank you from Girl Scout Troop #1280 for allowing them to use the town hall for their Dance Badge work was received

 

Geauga County Board of Elections requested the use of the town hall for May 8, 2007 for the purpose of a Special Election.

Special Election May 8, 2007

 

               A motion was made by Trustee Seliskar and seconded by

Trustee Kothera to approve the use of the Huntsburg

town hall by the Geauga County Board of Elections for a

Special Election to be held on May 8, 2007.

More 2010 Census materials were received for review.

 

An Invitation was received from the Hershey Farm School for March 17th at 4:00 pm for the ground breaking of the new school building to be constructed.
