AGENDA:    O.B. – Eagle Park

MINUTES OF MARCH 1, 2007:   There were no corrections to the minutes.   Blue made a motion to approve the minutes as written.                 Poole seconded.   ROLL CALL:  Yeas (2), Nays (0) MOTION PASSED

OLD BUSINESS:

WASTEWATER PLANT CONSTRUCTION - STATUS:   The wastewater plant will be started up some time this month.  The project is currently on schedule and budget.

WATER PLANT – STATUS:  Bids will be going out for this project at the end of April with an award time of June.  Arcadis is doing the plans for this project.   Need to have it awarded by June so that the loan rate will remain at 2.7%.

WOODSONG PUMP STATION:  No further information at this time.   Jack Gibson Construction will be building this project.

MOODY’S PROPOSAL TO PERFORM TEST & CLEAN WELLS #1 &# 2:     Have not come out to do this testing as of this date.

EAGLE PARK IMPROVEMENTS:  There are bids for areas of the park before Council tonight for approval.   The dry park and pavilion bids came in on budget.  The splash park came in on budget.  The alternate pieces on the splash park increased the cost significantly.  Would be approximately $190,000 difference.  Need to consider additional parking in the area for this park.   Most of the property abutting the park is not owned by the Village.  Access into the park from Tare Creek Parkway is not permitted.  The bids for this park may not pass tonight at Council.

NEW BUSINESS:

ADJUSTMENT JOURNAL – MARCH:    Blue made a motion to approve the adjustment journal for March.  Poole seconded.   ROLL CALL:  All Yeas (2).

WWTP CHANGE ORDER #1:  There is a change order in the amount of $45,000 for the wastewater treatment plant.   Will be discussed at the Council meeting this evening.

BRICK FASCIA ON LAB BUILDING:  There has been discussion about adding a brick fascia to the existing lab building so that it matches the new wastewater treatment plant.   This building will not really even be seen by the public.   Will discuss this matter at a later date.

PARK RESTROOM NEAR GIRL SCOUT LODGE:  This restroom is old and out of date.  Was vandalized the first day it was open.  Would like to tear the building down.  Committee felt that if it is not really being used and there would be costs involved to make it up to date, then it can be taken down.  There are still two other restroom facilities located in the park.

WOODSONG DETENTION BASIN:  There have been complaints about flooding due to a detention basin in the Woodsong subdivision.  The detention basin is not being properly maintained and cleaned out.  The basin is not the responsibility of the Village.   May

be some of the residents in this area at the Council meeting tonight.

ENGINEER’S REPORT:  None at this time.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
